Experience

    On-site installation and configuration

  • Implementing, installing, and configuring Misys/Allscripts healthcare IT systems (software applications, servers, workstations, and related components) at customer locations.
  • System upgrades and administration — Performing upgrades, migrations, and ongoing administration of healthcare IT systems for clients.
  • Troubleshooting and repair — Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, interface, and connectivity issues that could not be fixed remotely. This often involved servers, networking gear, or client-side equipment tied to the software.
  • Equipment handling — Installing new equipment, replacing failed hardware, and performing related onsite work.

  • Customer and internal coordination

  • Working directly with client IT staff and clinical users, coordinating with remote technical support, project teams, and sometimes third-party vendors or ISPs. Providing safe access, workspace, power, and phone lines was typically a client responsibility during visits.
  • Documentation and compliance support — Recording installations, services, issues, and resolutions. Supporting environments that needed to meet healthcare regulatory and security expectations (e.g., HIPAA-related practices).
  • Travel and territory coverage — Traveling within an assigned geographic area (sometimes covering multiple states) to perform scheduled and emergency onsite work.
